Home Decor Balls How-to

I always like those balls in the home decor aisles at the store, but have never been able to justify buying them, knowing they will be a) lost b) broken or c) both within 5 minutes of putting them on my coffee table. Here is a tutorial for making some of them yourself. Since they are so dang cheap to make I wouldn't feel quite so bad if they didn't last a long time.

Here is another tutorial for some other styles of decorative balls. Need.to.make.some!!

Oh my gosh, I love the split peas one! What vibrant color! I just picked up a couple of tall black wrought iron candlestick pedestal thingies at a RS swap, and they need something to go on them. These would be perfect, except that I've got black, deep red, and light tan in my living/dining room area. I need something in a beautiful deep red.

Must...start...looking...
